Beautifully shaped and often dramatically patterned, British moths are the inspiration for Shark Alley’s new mini-collection.

This is the scarlet tiger moth, which is found mostly in the south west of the UK, and flies during sunshine hours as well as at night.

Every detail on the scarlet tiger moth brooch is individually painted by hand, with the colours carefully built up in layers to capture its vivid markings in black, white, yellow and scarlet. The back of the scarlet tiger is painted leaf green.

The brooch is cut from FSC certified sustainable birch and both sides are finished with a satin varnish.

Like all Shark Alley designs, it is light and easy to wear.
