Shark Alley's painted collection is inspired by the faded, weathered, painted wood of the English seaside and the sun-bleached colours of Mediterranean walls and doors.

The owl brooch has been cut from cherry wood and engraved with an original hand-drawn design.

Cherry wood has a lovely rich warm hue and goes really well with all fabrics and colours.

The owl is hand painted in eco-friendly Farrow & Ball paint in duck egg blue and white, then individually hand finished to give it a rustic, vintage feel.
