Shark Alley's painted collection is inspired by the faded, weathered, painted wood of the English seaside and the sun-bleached colours of Mediterranean walls and doors.

The medium hare brooch in denim blue has been cut from cherry wood and engraved with an original hand-drawn design inspired by English cornfields.

Cherry wood has a lovely rich warm hue and goes really well with all fabrics and colours.

The hare is hand painted in eco-friendly Farrow And Ball paint in dark blue and white, then individually hand finished to give it a rustic, vintage feel.

Like all Shark Alley brooches, the hare is light and easy to wear.
