This brooch is based on the iconic cornflower, a beautiful feathery blue flower seen in cornfields, and a favourite of bees for its sugary nectar and goldfinches for its seeds.

The cornflower is cut from FSC certified sustainable birch and painted entirely by hand using water-based eco-friendly paint. The back of the brooch is painted in an ochre yellow and both sides are finished with a satin varnish.

Like all Shark Alley designs, it is light and easy to wear and can be styled on anything from jackets and t-shirts to hats and scarves.
